Once, long ago, there was a mystical kingdom of Zedwella; a land of tall mountains and fertile valleys. In the mountains there are immense caves , home to colonies of wild dragons which are caught by Star Warriors and and trained as war dragons. Ty Frederickson, a school boy, was accepted by the royal dragon trainers as a helper. On a dragon hunt, he caught in infant dragon and Lord Alfred the Mighty taught him how to train and fly it. During his flights he meets a boy his age who is learning from his grandfather to be a sorcerer and a young girl, a mystic who can see into the future and speaks with the spirits. They become good friends and have many adventures together. On one flight he sites a gang of bandits robbing up a wagon. Along with his new friends they follow them to their hideout.
